Collect needs privately
Share the activity and physical demands before the event. Give employees a private route to tell HR about mobility, medical or participation considerations.
The company should decide how consent and employee information are handled. Do not ask people to explain personal health details in a group chat or at the court.
Offer non-playing roles such as scorekeeping, photography or cheering without presenting them as second-class participation.
Design the first thirty minutes for beginners
Begin with light movement and a short demonstration. Put new players in cooperative rallies before asking them to keep score under pressure.
Use patient partners and rotate deliberately across departments. Avoid public skill rankings at the start, especially when some colleagues have never held a paddle.
Schedule water breaks and shade or rest time appropriate to the conditions. Anyone who feels unwell or experiences pain should stop and seek appropriate help.
Keep venue and employer responsibilities clear
Ask the venue about court rules, equipment condition, supervision and emergency procedures. HR remains responsible for employee communication, consent and internal policy.
Confirm the event format against the final headcount. Eight people can play doubles across PaddleKraft’s two courts at once; larger groups require rotations.
Afterward, ask whether people felt informed, able to participate at a comfortable level and included in the social part of the day. That feedback is more useful than only asking who won.
PLAY IN MOSHI
Turn the reading into a real game.
